Plus sized models on cover of June Italia Vogue

This past month saw Italia Vogue celebrtae beautiful curvy models.Always ready to up the ante the magazine feautured a trio of plus-sized beauties posing for the cover. Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley lean over plates of spaghetti in their lingerie, and inside,  Marquita Pring is added to the mix for Steven Meisel’s lens.

The glossy’s editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani told Womens wear daily, ”We help [plus-size women] dress fashionably. We say: It’s pointless for you to buy leggings, take this because this will look good on you. We help them choose. We don’t talk about diets because they don’t want to be on a diet, but it’s not a ghetto. Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine.”

In March, Sozzani launched a petition against pro-anorexia websites. I’m not a plus-size gal myself very far from it, but I must say I absolutely love this cover and everything it stands for. These 3  women are absolute glamazons and it pleases me that society especially Europe is moving away from the ideal that women should be rake thin.

The question i pose is wouldn’t you rather have 3 normal firgured women gracing the covers of our magazines as oppssed to emaciated figures such as Isabelle Caro who died at 28 trying to live up to the impossible standards set by society.
